Billy Kimball Midgett, age 72, died on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Spring Valley Health and Rehab in Spring Valley, WI. He was born the son of Naval Commander Maxton and Elsie M. Midgett on March 16, 1949 in Portsmouth Naval Hospital in Virginia. Billy grew up in Virginia Beach, VA graduating from First Colonial High School, class of 1967. Following high school, Billy served in the US Navy. Billy worked for the US Navy as a mechanic. Following his military service, he attended Emory Riddle College in Florida and Eastern Illinois University.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Maxton and Elsie; brother, Harry Lee; brother-in-law, Paul Howard Sr. Billy is survived by his sister, Sandra Howard; brothers, Maxton Murray Jr. (Ruth) and Kevin; sister-in-law, Brenda; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 11:00AM at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 S. Knowles Ave) in New Richmond with a visitation starting 30 minutes prior to the service. Interment was in Fort Snelling National Cemetery on Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at 12:45PM in Assembly Lane 6. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
