Betty Lou Hartenstein, age 87 of River Falls, WI, died Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Wellhaven Senior Living in River Falls, WI. Betty was born August 5, 1930 to Ed and Ella (Gaustad) TeWinkel near Hammond, WI. She attended school in River Falls, WI graduating class of 1947. She met Dick Hartenstein while attending River Falls Teachers College. They married on March 11, 1949. Primarily a homemaker, Betty also worked for a local realtor for a time. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Eugene, Floyd, Morris, Thomas, Vernon, and Donald; sister, Margaret Grier; grandson, Cleve; and many other relatives. She is survived by her husband, Dick; children, Lynn Graves, Scott (Denise), Bruce (Cathy), and Wade (Terry); sister, Iolean Johnson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service was held Sunday, August 5, 2018 at 3:00p.m. at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (805 E Division Street, River Falls, WI 54022) with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
