Betty Puterbaugh 02/19/2012

Betty Ann Puterbaugh age 68 of Star Prairie died unexpectedly at home on Sunday, February 19, 2012.  She was born the daughter of Marion and Leslie Stendall on July 25, 1943 in N. St. Paul, MN.  Betty graduated from N. St. Paul High School and attended college at Minnesota State University Winona majoring in math education and a minor in science education.  On September 25, 1965, she married Gerald Puterbaugh in N. St. Paul.  Betty taught school at Mt. Clemens High School and Utica High School, both in Michigan.  Finally, she worked at Andersen Windows for 25 years, retiring in 1998.  Betty enjoyed playing bingo at the Knights of Columbus in New Richmond, trail riding on an ATV, motorcycle riding, traveling, reading and playing games on the computer.  She especially loved her grandchildren and was a wonderful grandmother.  Betty is remembered as being friendly, loving, caring and always pleasant.  She never said anything bad about anyone and had a willingness to help others.  She always kept things straight and was very sharp and quick to pick up things especially with numbers.  Betty is preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Leslie Stendall; and brother, Thomas Stendall.  She will be missed by her husband, Gerald Puterbaugh; children, Anita Puterbaugh, Alan (Andrea) Puterbaugh; grandchildren, Cory and Jordan Puterbaugh; sister-in-law, Audrey Stendall; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  A funeral service was held Friday, February 24, 2012 at 11 am at Peace Lutheran Church in Dresser.  Visitation was Thursday from 5-8 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral Home Beebe Chapel in New Richmond and also Friday from 10-11 am at the church.  Interment was in the Peace Lutheran Church Cemetery.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
