Thank you to all who have known and loved my sister Bette over the years. She has left her earthly home far too soon. Rest in peace, dear Bette.
Shocked & saddened by this news. My deepest sympathies!
Memories of her happy personality & smile. Exactly like her picture displays. So sorry 😢
Very sad to hear the news. Though it has been years since I last saw Bette, my childhood memories of her are filled with fun and laughs.
So sorry for your loss
She was my same-aged cousin, partner in crime and high adventure on her family’s farm in our growing up years. Bette memories: everything emanated from the heart, joy filled, laughing, jumping in the haybarn with abandon, she always let her light shine on us all.
Bette was a sunbeam. Her gracious smile was infectious. Rest In Peace my Godchild.
I remember Bette too. As teenagers, she and my older sister Geralyn would play all kinds of hilarious tricks on us and her sisters Joanie and Margaret. I have very good memories of visits with the whole Wolfe family. You’ve all been so much fun! I ‘m really sorry that Bette has passed.
I agree that some of our most memorable days were with the Wolfe kids in Durand, WI. I, too, remember Bette as full of fun and very good-natured. She had such an infectious smile, which shows in the picture above.
We have a hole in our family now. I wish we could have all grown old together. I will remember your smile, your laughter, your lightness of spirit. Rest In Peace dear sister.
Words cannot express how shocked I was to hear this news. I met her son’s Alex and Joe when I was in high school and we became best friends instantly. When I first met Bette and Joe, they immediately became my friends as well. Bette was always a joy to be around, I will always remember her bright personality and willingness to help anyone in need. The Koenen’s were like my extended family, and I have so many great memories with them that will stick with me for the rest of my life.
Joe and Family,
We know our words can’t take away your sense of loss,
But we hope that our caring will help to give you strength.

Remember her beautiful smile and her bright mind from when we were classmates at Lima. Had a good conversation many years later when we laughed over some of the crazy stories. Sending sympathy to all her family.
