Bernice “Bunny” Wolf 01/19/2017

Bernice “Bunny” Elaine (Lovell) Wolf, age 96, of River Falls died peacefully on January 19, 2017 at Kinnic Health and Rehab.  She was born March 14, 1920 in River Falls to Byrne and Sadie (Megorden) Lovell.  Bunny graduated from River Falls High School in 1938 and then graduated from River Falls Teachers College in 1941.  On May 22, 1943, she married Roy Clinton Wolf.  She was an elementary teacher in Barron, WI and Buchanan, MI.  She also taught in Boise, ID after their marriage, while Roy was stationed there during WWII.  After the war, she returned to River Falls and taught within the River Falls School District until her retirement in 1982.  She was a longtime member and held official positions in the Home Culture Club, AAUW, Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary and the United Methodist Church.  Bunny was very proud of the family legacy of UWRF.  Her  grandfather, parents and siblings, as well as herself, her children and five grandchildren, 5 generations of UWRF graduates.  Her favorite hobby was quilting and in her later years she enjoyed playing cards and puzzles.  Bunny was preceded in death by her parents, Byrne and Sadie Lovell; brother, Robert Lovell; sister, Dorothy (Lovell) Winans; and husband, Roy Wolf (Nov. 19, 2006).  She is survived by her daughter, Karen Wolf Nelson; sons, John (Doris Hop) Wolf, Michael (Deborah Swenson) Wolf, David (Patricia Rohl) Wolf; grandchildren, Duane Nelson, Brian Nelson, John (Heather Given) Wolf, Michelle (Christan) Rodriguez, Clinton (Holly Getzie) Wolf, Greta Wolf, Elliott Wolf, Paul Wolf, Matthew Wolf, Kari Wolf; great-grandchildren, Devon Ludden, Hannah Wolf, Delilah Wolf, McKenzie Wolf, Deacon Wolf; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.  A memorial service was held Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 am at the United Methodist Church (127 S 2nd St.) in River Falls.  Visitation was also Saturday from 10-11 am at the church.  Private interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
