Bernice Krueger 12/14/2014

Bernice Theresa Krueger died peacefully at Golden Age Manor on Sunday, December 14, 2014 in Amery, Wisconsin at the age of 87.  Bernice is survived by her husband, Don Krueger of Deer Park, Wisconsin; her children, Bob (Eva) Krueger of Deer Park; Jim Krueger of Deer Park; Nancy Gleason of New Richmond; Tom (Wendi) Krueger of Deer Park; Sue (Dan) Lackner of White Bear Township, MN; Lori (Chuck) Hansen of Coon Rapids, MN; Duke (Janet) Krueger of Deer Park; and Kevin (Janel) Krueger of Deer Park; and her sister, Shirley (Bob) Bearce of Williston, ND and 25 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Elsa Johnson, her brother, Bernard Johnson, her sister, Myrna Johnson and her grandson, Elijah Krueger.  Bernice was born on January 25, 1927 in Little Falls, MN to Walter and Elsa Johnson. Bernice graduated from Eitel Hospital as a Cadet Registered Nurse in 1948. She married Donald Krueger in 1949 in Redwood Falls, MN.  Bernice and Don moved to Deer Park where they farmed and raised 8 children.  For many years Bernice worked as a registered nurse at Maple Manor Nursing Home in New Richmond.  She was an active and dedicated member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Deer Park and often volunteered in community service projects.  Her children remember her as one who loved God, dancing, playing games and enjoying life to the fullest. She was a fun loving grandmother who enjoyed many wonderful times with her grandchildren.  A Funeral Service was held on Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11 am at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Deer Park.  Visitation was held on Thursday, December 18, 2014 from 4-7 pm at the Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel 112 W 3^rd Street New Richmond and on Friday from 10-11 am at the church.  Interment was in Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
