Barbara M Fletch 12/19/1937 – 8/7/2026
Barbara was born in Martinez, CA to Clyde Perry Maskal & Claudine (Omick) Maskal. At age 16, she moved to New Richmond, WI where she married William Fletch Sr. and raised 3 children. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, just the way she lived.
Barb was a hard-working entrepreneur who was determined to remain independent and live her life “her way”. She worked as a CNA in her early years, then spent more than 20 years working at Lind Shoe Company. Barb later ran a successful cleaning business and worked for Jay Fletch Real Estate selling model homes. She continued her hard-working ways until she was physically unable to do so in 2024.
Barb is survived by her daughters, Linda (Tony) Rozell and Denise (Cory) Cook; grandchildren, Jay Fletch, Jennifer (Dale) Kaufman, Brandon (Jennifer) Fletch, Nicholas (Lindsey) Campeau, Cassie (Aaron) Beauvais, Holly (Brent) Mullan, Charlene (Michael) Stoddard, Bruce (Brandy) Olson; great-grandchildren, Lucia, MacKenzie, Connor, Sophia, Brentley, Hailey, Hannah, Izabella, Ilyssa, Kayla, Karley, Joshua, Dominik, Jocelyn, Caleb, Avery; her pride and joy, her great-great-grandchildren, Colson Bair, Walker Wolfe, and Carter Bair; and siblings Steven (Janice) Watkins, Rhonda Watkins; sister-in-law Sara Watkins. Barb was preceded in death by her father, Clyde Maskal Sr.; stepfather, James Watkins; her mother, Claudine Watkins; her brothers, Clyde (Shirley) Maskal Jr., Robert Watkins, Jim Watkins; her sister, Judy Breault; her ex-husband William Fletch Sr., her son William (Dianne) Fletch Jr., and her lifelong significant other Gerald Cook.
Barb’s legacy will be hard to beat. She lived her life to the absolute fullest and seized every opportunity presented to her. She lived unapologetically and without regrets. She traveled the world throughout the years with nearly her entire family and left no stone unturned. She leaves behind her free spirit, sense of adventure, and zest for life. To know Barb was to love Barb. She was a staple of the New Richmond community and her presence will be deeply missed.
