Anne Elizabeth Langford, age 90, passed away peacefully at The Deerfield in New Richmond on July 27, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on December 17, 1935 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Frederick and Margaret (Gamble) Kerridge.
Anne was an elementary school teacher, with a degree from Macalester College. She also worked in retail for many years. She raised her family in a loving and creative home. As her children, we all credit her with our great love of gardening, our keen interest in cooking and exploring new cuisines, and the importance of saving for a rainy day. She made many lifelong and cherished friends-people she and Bill met through ORYG/GYRO, neighbors she met in each new neighborhood the family moved to and through her volunteer work over the years with countless organizations including most recently The New Richmond Heritage Center.
Anne and Bill were fortunate to travel extensively together, from the rain forests of Costa Rica, to the tulip fields of Amsterdam, to the golf courses of Scotland. The entire family also enjoyed trips together, on the train out west for mountain skiing, to the Bahamas to celebrate New Year’s Eve, and to Montana ranches for horseback riding.
Anne and Bill together gave their family a wonderful life. For that we are forever grateful.
Anne is survived by children Susan (John Eggers) Langford, James (Erika) Langford and Stacey Langford McDonnell; grandchildren Gus Franchere, Sevie Langford, Maggie Langford, Daniel McDonnell, Joe (Katie) McDonnell, Michael McDonnell, Elizabeth (Casey Tschumper) McDonnell; great-grandchildren Noah and Sophie McDonnnell and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, William Langford, parents Fred and Peggy Kerridge, and son-in-law Patrick McDonnell.
Memorials may be directed to Como Friends in memory of Anne.

I am so sorry to see Ann passed away. She was truly a wonderful lady, who I enjoyed our visits when she came into the salon. Both her and Bill great people!! And now together again.
Anne was a dear friend for many years, We had many visits, She loved to entertain and she did a great job, zi will miss her but glad she is with Bill and no more pain
I’m so grateful for the love and kindness Anne and Bill gave me. It will never be forgotten. Peace be with her.
We enjoyed knowing Anne all these years in New Richmond. They were a great couple.
So enjoyed getting to know Bill and Ann through the United Methodist Church and the Heritage Center. Great lady in so many ways.

We have some lovely, friendly times with Ann. I greatly enjoyed working with her at the Heritage Center and socializing with both her and Bill. Great people, both of them. She joins her love again. Peace to all.
So very sorry for your loss of your sweet mother, Anne. She was very fortunate to have such devoted and caring children who visited frequently/daily at the Deerfield. She was such a lovely woman who lived and gave generously! She will be missed!
