Leonard Malcolm Feyen, age 86, of Star Prairie, Wisconsin, passed away on April 18, 2026, at the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond, Wisconsin. He was born on March 14, 1940, in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and raised by parents, Verna and Frank Zintek. Leonard attended St. Cashmere’s Catholic School and later graduating from Johnson High School.

In his early career, Leonard worked at Bremer Bank in St. Paul before meeting the love of his life, Gloria, in January 1960. They were united in marriage just months later in August of that same year. Their marriage was blessed with four children.

Following the completion of some evening courses, Leonard transitioned into a successful career in transportation management, first working with Armor and Company and subsequently with Leaf Brothers. In addition to his professional pursuits, he developed a passion for goldsmithing and provided his talents to a jeweler in St. Paul.

Leonard devoted approximately 60 years to being a foster parent across both Minnesota and Wisconsin, a testament to his nurturing spirit and commitment to helping others. His love for adventure was evident through his travels in his motor home, where he explored every state west of the Mississippi River, and through cherished moments at their cabin on White Ash Lake in Amery.

A dedicated community member, Leonard served as a 4-H leader and was honored with a Selective Service Award for his civic engagement.

Leonard is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Verna and Frank; his daughter, Betty; and daughters-in-law, Lori and Jacquelyn. He is survived by his devoted wife, Gloria; his children, John (Carolyn) Feyen, Carol (Robert) Schroeder, and Dale Feyen; grandchildren, Michael (Elizabeth) Howard, Brandon Howard, Brittany (Brent) Code, Joshua (Shauna) Feyen, Emily Sigafoos, and Jordan Feyen; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Howard, Jacquelyn Feyen, and Brynn Howard; as well as his bonus children, Randy Feyen and James Hill, and bonus grandchildren, Allison (Ben) Herpst and Nicole Meyer, along with bonus great-grandchildren, including Evelyn Herpst.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at East Immanuel Lutheran Church in Amery, Wisconsin. Visitation will take place on Monday, April 27, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services in New Richmond, and will also be available on Tuesday, April 28, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church.
