Audrey Thomas 11/14/2015

Audrey Thomas, age 80 of New Richmond, died Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Our House in New Richmond.  Audrey was born the daughter of Gordon and Johanna (Christiansen) Hunt on January 27, 1935 in Thief River Falls, MN.  She graduated from Thief River Falls High School.  On April 18, 1958, Audrey was married to David Thomas in Sisseton, SD.  They moved to New Richmond, WI in 1962.  Audrey was a stock clerk for DoBoy for 30 years.  She enjoyed sewing, fishing, traveling and taking care of her flower and vegetable gardens.  She loved being a grandmother and great-grandmother.  Audrey was a strong willed, tenacious woman with a quick wit.  She was loving and caring and was always there for her family.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Johana Hunt; and infant granddaughter, Tracy Bonkoski.  Audrey is survived by her husband, Dave Thomas; children, Lana Thomas, Gordon Thomas, Laura (Wayne) Peterson, David Scott (Fred Young) Thomas, Jay (Diane) Thomas; grandchildren, Dawn Fabio, Kelsey Thomas, Zack (Victoria) Thomas, Shawn Thomas, Matt (Anna) Bonkoski, Jordan Peterson, Carrie Jo (Percy) Palomino-Azurza, Amanda (Isaac) Brown, David C. (Gris) Thomas; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Carla Thomas; siblings, Jerry (Velma) Hunt, Shirley (Roger) Rabska; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Thank you to the staff at Our House for the wonderful care given to Audrey over the past month and a half.  A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 11 am at the Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel 112 W 3rd Street New Richmond, WI.  Visitation was also Saturday from 10-11 am at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Boardman Cemetery.  Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services Beebe Chapel of New Richmond.
