Arnell Kuss 01/07/2011

Arnell Yvonne Kuss age 80, passed away gently Friday, January 7, 2011 at The Lutheran Home in River Falls.  She was born May 9, 1930 the daughter of Sylvas and Rucilla (Halverson) Johnson.    Arnell was a resident of River Falls and also spent many years in Eau Claire and a summer cabin in Spooner.  She was a very active past member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Eau Claire and a member of Ezekiel Lutheran Church in River Falls.  Arnell was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood since 1965, volunteered with Meal on Wheels and other organizations.  In earlier years, she was an elementary school teacher, helped with her husband’s insurance agency and worked at the Eau Claire County Courthouse.  Arnell enjoyed spending time with all of her family and friends and the laughter of life.  She especially enjoyed the Holidays, summers by the lake, along with staying current and following her favorite sporting teams.  She was a loving mother, sister, niece, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.  She will be missed by her sons, Kevin (Sue) Kuss of Stillwater, MN and Kyle (Tracy) Kuss of Eau Claire, WI; daughter, Kimberly (Brian) Ozzello of Stillwater, MN; sister, Sheila Martinson of River Falls, WI; granddaughters, Callyssa Ozzello, Trudy Ozzello, Lauren Kuss, Kessea (Dave) Paulson; great granddaughter, Kameron Paulson.  Arnell was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvas and Rucilla Johnson and husband, Roger, who was the love of her life.  The family would like to thank the caregivers from The Lutheran Home in River Falls.  A funeral service was held on Monday, January 10, 2011 at 11:00 am at Ezekiel Lutheran Church (202 S. 2nd St. River Falls).  Visitation was Sunday, January 9, 2011 from 1-3 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral Home (805 E. Division St. River Falls) and also Monday from 10-11 am before the service at church.  Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery.  Memorial are preferred to the UWRF Roger Kuss Memorial Fund.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
