Anthony “Tony” Desino, age 68 of Amery, WI, formerly of New Richmond, WI and Rochester, NY, died Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, MN. Tony was born the son of Nicholas and Eleanor (Eighmey) Desino on November 8, 1947 in Rochester, NY. He grew up in Rochester, graduating from high school in 1966. On November 13, 1972, Tony was married to Stephanie Evangelist in Rochester. They moved to Wisconsin later that year. Tony was a welder by trade, retiring in 2009. He worked over 20 years at Donaldson Company in Baldwin. Tony’s passion was music; he was always active with music in the church they attended. He enjoyed playing the guitar, cooking, and having fellowship with friends. Tony was a wonderful husband and father, and loved being a grandpa. He is preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Desino. Tony is survived by his wife, Stephanie Desino; children, Jason (Kelly) Desino, Marsha Desino, Brenda Desino; grandchildren, Lilly and Adia Desino; mother, Eleanor Tichnor; siblings, Dawn (Jerry) Ogden, Ron (Sue) Desino, Susan (Drew) Young, Beverly (Sal) Gallo, Laurette (Jim) Sharpsteen, Laura (Rick) D’Angelo, Jim (Julie) Vernetti, Terry Weiss; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Celebration of Tony’s Life was held Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 3 pm at Solid Rock Fellowship 258 N 3rd Street New Richmond, WI. Memorial visitation was held on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 4-7 pm at the Bakken-Young Beebe Chapel 112 W 3rd Street New Richmond and on Sunday from 2-3 pm at the church.
