Annis Marion (Prunty) Jerlow died peacefully on November 2, 2014, at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, comforted by her sons and granddaughters. Annis was born on June 10, 1930, in Aberdeen, South Dakota to William “Bill” and Clara (Hanson) Prunty. As a child, she attended school in Houghton and then Carthage, South Dakota. She graduated from Carthage High School in 1948. During high school and following graduation, she worked at the Farmers State Bank in Carthage. Annis married John Jerlow on November 1, 1949, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Carthage, South Dakota. Following their marriage, they farmed in the Carthage area before moving to Lakefield, Minnesota in 1958. Annis worked in the office of the Lakefield Municipal Hospital and then as a registered dental assistant at the Lakefield Dental Clinic. Annis retired in 1987 and enjoyed her home and especially her granddaughters and great grandchildren, always giving them unconditional love and support. She also enjoyed shopping, playing the organ, singing, and bird watching. She was a dedicated member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lakefield, Minnesota and attended First Lutheran Church in New Richmond, Wisconsin after moving to be closer to family in 2014. Annis is survived by her husband John Jerlow; her two sons Thomas Jerlow and John Steven (Sabrina) Jerlow; her four granddaughters Alison (Jeffrey) Simison, Alanna (Michael) McNamara, Alyssa (Joseph) Kruschke, and Sandra Zelko; and her four great grandchildren Carter and Clara Simison and Evan and Lila McNamara. She will also be missed by countless other friends and family members whom were lucky enough to know her. She was preceded in death by her father and mother. A visitation will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Thursday, November 6, 2014, at First Lutheran Church in New Richmond, Wisconsin with a memorial service to follow at 6:00 P.M.
