Anna Mae Stuntz, age 96 of Deer Park, WI died on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at Cumberland Care and Rehabilitation in Cumberland, WI surrounded by her loving family.
Anna was born the daughter of Phillip and Elvera (Wahlberg) Warner on April 20, 1928. She grew up near Deer Park, WI attending grade school in Deer Park and graduating from New Richmond High School in 1947. Prior to marriage she worked at Friday’s Canning as well as on the family farm. Anna was married to William Stuntz, Sr. on June 2, 1951, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Deer Park. Anna and Bill raised their family on the same family farm she grew up on. After retiring from farming, Anna worked as a cook at the Deer Park Senior Center until the age of 91 when Covid-19 happened. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, very active at Trinity United Methodist Church and the Happy Grannies, a group of friends that traveled the area entertaining seniors at various care facilities and senior centers bringing fun and laughter to all they entertained. Anna loved gardening, cooking, baking, spending time with her family, and killing bugs, rodents and snakes. The most important thing in her life was her family. She was a patient, generous and loving woman who never let you go away hungry.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Elvera Warner; husband, William Stuntz, Sr.; infant children, Allen and Julie Ann; siblings, Wahlberg Warner, Harlan Warner, Loren Warner, Lorraine (Marvin) Frey, Arlene Warner, Evie (Ira) Sumner; and brothers-in-law, Al Humpal and John Severson, Sr. Anna is survived by her children, Chuck (Wanda) Stuntz, Duane (Mary) Stuntz, William (Arianne) Stuntz, Jr.; grandchildren, Nicholas (Ty) Stuntz Sr., Amber (Grant) Khemkhajon, Aimee (Tony) Ceccarelli, Julie (Marshall) Muse, Autumn (Brittany) Stuntz, Erin Stuntz, Drew (Summer) Stuntz, Gabriel (Shawnna) Stuntz, Katelyn (Isaac) Byard, Jacob Gerlach, Savannah (Spencer) Dorrance; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Ryan, Nicholas, Jr., Nora, Mason, Gracelyn, Charlie Jean, Liam, Carter, Hudson, Rya, Caden, William; siblings, Phyllis Humpal and Ruth Severson; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024, at 12 noon at Trinity United Methodist Church 221 2nd Street North Deer Park, WI. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 15, 2024, from 4-7 at the church and on Monday from 11am – 12 noon at the church. There will be a luncheon after the funeral at the Deer Park Community Center. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Deer Park in the spring. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation
