Ann Meyer 01/09/2016

Ann T. Meyer, age 88 of New Richmond, formerly of River Falls, died on Saturday, January 9, 2016 at her home.  She was born the daughter of Wilbur and Gertrude (Note) McCann on July 30, 1927 in Eau Claire, WI.  She attended Minneapolis North High School.  In 1943, Ann was married to Chester Bogucki, they were later divorced.  In 1949, Ann was married to John Betzel. They made their home in Prescott, WI.  Ann worked at Jacques Seed Company, and for Dr. Laney.  They later moved to River Falls, WI were Ann worked as a custodian at the University of Wisconsin River Falls.  After John’s death, Ann met and married Don Meyer.  After Don’s death, Ann moved to her home in New Richmond, WI.  Ann was a strong willed, feisty woman with a deep faith.  She enjoyed traveling, genealogy, and going to the casino.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Gertrude McCann; husbands, Chester Bogucki, John Betzel, and Don Meyer; grandson, Bradley Harwell; and siblings, Raymond (Arlene) McCann, Jack (Dorothy) McCann, and Lorraine (John) Weinmeyer.  Ann is survived by her daughter, Kathy (Jack) Laughnan; grandchildren, Chris (Kristi) Harwell, Jill Laughnan, Jodi Laughnan, Jack (Nicole) Laughnan; great-grandchildren, Michelle (Jordan) Parker, Melissa Kester, Courtney Foster, Carly Harwell, Samantha Harwell, Joe Harwell; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  A Funeral Service was held on Friday, January 15, 2016 at 12 noon at the Bakken-Young Funeral Home 805 E Division Street, River Falls, WI.  Visitation was also Friday from 10 am – 12 noon at the funeral home.  Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery in River Falls.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services of River Falls.
