Alex Cartier 05/17/2021

Alex E. Cartier, age 78, of New Richmond, WI, died Monday, May 17, 2021 at his home. Alex Cartier was a loving husband to his wife Jo for 54 years. Alex was a devoted father to his children Brad and Kelli. As a family we camped and fished during the summer. We spent a lot of time at our lake property that gave us all wonderful memories. Alex worked at Northern States Power for 36 years and retired in 1999. After retirement Alex and Jo wintered in Pahrump, Nevada where they enjoyed golfing and meeting with friends. They spent 21 years escaping the Wisconsin winters. Brad is married to his wife Mun and has one son Brayden (13). They reside in Chandler Arizona. Kelli is married to Dan Gabrielson. They have 3 children Kara(23), Jacob (22), and Ava(11). They reside in Houlton, Wisconsin. Alex is survived by his sister Julie Cartier and is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Nina, and brother Carroll. Our family appreciates all the love and support. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lakeview Homecare and Hospice or St. Judes is preferred.  A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 12 noon at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services 728 S Knowles Avenue New Richmond, WI and streamed live through the link just below this obituary.  Visitation was also on Saturday from 11 am – 12 pm at the funeral home.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
