Alan J. Rothamer, age 75, of River Falls, WI passed away peacefully on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Our Lady of Peace in St. Paul, MN. Alan was born August 4, 1948 in Medford, WI the son of David and Hannah (Poehnlein) Rothamer. He attended St. Anthony’s grade school and graduated from Loyal High School in 1967. Alan went to North Central Technical Institute in Wausau and went on to work for Art Craft Homes in Spencer, WI. On September 11, 1971, he married Diane Schuh. A transition to a new job brought Alan and family to move to River Falls. Alan worked at 3M and then was custodian at River Falls High School until 2018 and worked as a bartender at Johnnie’s until 2012. In retirement, Alan enjoyed spending time at his camper in Lake Holcombe, WI and the time spent with his family. Alan loved the Green Bay Packers as well as the Brewers and Badgers, he would say “God, family, and Green Bay Packers, not necessarily in that order.”
Alan is survived by his wife, Diane Rothamer; children, Robert Rothamer, Tina (Matthew) Stacken, Mark (Kristin) Rothamer; grandchildren, Audrey and Easton Rothamer; brothers, Gary, Lee (JoAnn), and Dale Rothamer; sister-in-law, Marcia Rothamer; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; David and Hannah; siblings, Dennis Rothamer and Shirley (Ronald) Domine; sister-in-law, Marlene Rothamer and a niece and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 11:00 am at St. Bridget Catholic Church (211 E Division St.) River Falls. Visitation was held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 from 3:00-7:00 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (805 E Division St.) River Falls, to honor Alan attendees are invited to wear their favorite Wisconsin fan gear. Visitation was also on Thursday from 10-11 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Our Lady of Peace in Saint Paul, MN. Arrangements are with with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

Al was such a great co-worker. He loved to check in with everyone to see how we were doing. He always had a smile.
