Harry (Bucco) Dieltz, age 93, passed away peacefully on August 16, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of memories and a legacy of love, hard work, family, and the love of the great outdoors.
Bucco, the second of three children, grew up in Somerset, and graduated from Somerset High School. Bucco and Kay (Heffron) married in 1954. They spent the first 30 years together raising their children in Somerset before moving to New Richmond in 1984. Bucco and Kay were married 67 years and enjoyed vacations, holidays, and following their children and grandchildren’s activities and accomplishments.
Bucco was a devoted father of six children, Joe (Mary), Kathy Hogberg, Jean (Bernie) Wendt, Nancy (Tom) Denzer, Sherrie (John) Hosley, Becky (Keith) Talledge. He spent many years working hard to provide for his family. His dedication and strong work ethic started as a young boy working for his uncle on the farm. His 40-year career at Andersen Corporation along with various bartending jobs in earlier years was a testament to the love he had for his family and the desire to give them a good life. The past 36 years Bucco has enjoyed a very long and happy retirement.
Bucco was an avid outdoorsman who found some of his greatest joy in snowmobiling, boating, and fishing. He loved being outside and perhaps most importantly, loved sharing that passion with his children and grandchildren. He took pride in teaching his family the joys of the outdoors and creating memories that will be treasured for generations. He enjoyed participating in and following sports, and as an avid Packer fan and stockholder made many trips to Green Bay.
Bucco also had a love for cars and especially enjoyed driving his Corvette. Whether he was behind the wheel, out on the water, or on the trails, Bucco knew how to enjoy life and make the most of every adventure.
Bucco now joins his beloved wife, Kay, along with several family members and dear friends who went before him. We find comfort knowing that he is reunited with those he loved and the memories they shared will live on in the hearts of those left behind.
He will remain in the hearts of his 6 children, 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren, his sister Donna, and several sister-in laws.
He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Grace Dieltz, his brother Earl Wayne Dieltz and his grandson Cody Wendt.
He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
A funeral mass honoring him will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 1 pm with a visitation prior from 11 to 1 at Immaculate Conception Church in New Richmond, WI. The burial and a light meal will follow. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Bucco’s life. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
