Glenn Hansen, 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 2, surrounded by the love of his family.
Glenn proudly served in the United States Army from 1951 to 1953 before beginning a long career as a Social Studies teacher at New Richmond High School. He loved sharing his knowledge with his students and took great pride in helping them learn about history, economics, and the world around them.
In his free time, Glenn enjoyed hunting, golfing, playing bridge, and trying his luck at blackjack. He appreciated good conversation, friendly competition, and spending time with friends and
family.
Some of Glenn’s happiest moments were spent with his family. He loved being a husband, father, stepfather, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and he cherished the time he spent with each of
them. His kindness, strength, and steady presence will be deeply missed.
Glenn lived a long and meaningful life, and his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of
all who knew and loved him.
In keeping with Glenn’s wishes, there will be no formal service. Instead, please raise a glass,
share a favorite story, and make a toast to Glenn.
