Wayne Francis Morrissette, age 82 of River Falls, WI and Englewood, FL, died on Saturday, November 1, 2025 in Englewood, FL. Wayne was born the son of Francis and Evelyn (Kortus) Morrissette on July 30, 1943 in St. Paul, MN. He grew up on the east side and graduated from Harding High School with the class of 1961. Wayne went to work for 3M. He worked his way to become an Industrial Engineer. His career spanned 38 years and 5 months retiring August of 2002. It also took to them many places, Prairie Du Chien, WI, River Falls, WI, Hartford City, IN, and back to the twin cities before spending 6 months in Asia. Wayne was married to Mary Lou Penberthy on August 3, 1963. They were blessed with two children, Scott and Angela. In their retirement, Wayne and Mary Lou spent six months in River Falls, WI and six months in Englewood, FL. Wayne enjoyed golfing and fishing. He loved supporting his grandchildren in all of their activities. Wayne was a quiet, capable, hardworking man. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Evelyn Morrissette. Wayne is survived by his wife, Mary Lou Morrissette; children, Scott (Jody) Morrissette, Angela (Ron) Wagner; grandchildren, Meaghan Wagner, Matthew Wagner, Emily (Tyler) McCaffrey, Molly (Dylan) Bigelbach, Samuel (Shayla) Morrissette; great-grandchildren, Evelyn Christenson, Aurora McCaffrey; brother, Gary (Marsha) Morrissette; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 11 am at St. Bridget Catholic Church 211 E Division Street River Falls, WI. Visitation will also be on Saturday from 10-11 am at the church. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

    Sorry for your loss. My folks enjoyed their friendships with Wayne and MaryLou. I have fond memories as well.
