Virginia (Ginny) Rose Leverty (Osborne), age 86, of New Richmond, Wisconsin died peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at the Saint Croix Health Center on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. Virginia was born on January 23, 1930 in Phillips, Wisconsin to Chester and Katherine Osborne. Virginia married Tom Leverty August 22, 1954.
Although Virginia was not 100% Irish, she loved the Irish heritage that she and her husband Tom shared. Virginia and Tom purchased their farm from Tom’s father and farmed that land most of their lives. She shared Tom’s love for the Green Bay Packers, watching Tom farm the land, visiting with family and friends, spending time at her daughter’s cabin, and raising her children and enjoying her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to dance, sing, cook, bake, go to the casino, and play scratch off games.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Tom, her daughter-in-law, Kim, her brothers; Walter, Albert, Earl, Fritz Osborne, her sisters; Mildred Crotty, Vivian Kazemba, Margie Jackson, and Betty Sullivan.
Virginia is survived by her children, Dennis Leverty, Rosemary (Mike Garrity) Knutson, James Leverty, Jean (John) Dalton, Patrick (Marilyn) Leverty, Judy (Steve) Guise; her grandchildren; Grant (Teresa) Leverty, Gerrit (Kari) Leverty, Chad (Kelly) Knutson, Kristi (Jake) Powell, Justin Leverty, Jeremy (Alyse) Leverty, Missy (Matt) Trautmiller, Shelly (Ed) Peterson, Laura (Gabe Bohatta) Dalton, Andrea (Dan) Enochson, Jennifer (David) Larva, Stephanie (Tony) Renstrom, Nicole (John) Meyer, and Amanda (Ross Wilken) Guise; her great-grandchildren, Ava, Sophie, Jayden, Avery, Emma, Addy, Brynlee, Brystol, Isabelle, Alex, Brady, Landon, Evelyn, Kaylee, Brooklynn, Branden, Mikko, Josh, Cassidy, Adaline, and Jaycee.
