Violet Wendt

Violet Adeline Wendt age 86 of New Richmond, WI. died on Tuesday February 19, 2013 at the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond, WI. Violet was born June 4, 1926 in LaCrosse, WI. to Orlo & Gladys (Johnson) Melvin.
Violet was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Victor Wendt. Violet is survived by her children, Darryl (June) Wendt, Bernard (Jean) Wendt, and Vicky Wendt; brother, James (Sharon) Melvin; nephew, John (Bobbi) Melvin; grandchildren, Jennifer (Douglas) Maier, Douglas (Jamie) Wendt, Cory (Nakita) Wendt, Cody Malluege, Robert Wendt, Allison (Dan) Vasarella, Tiffany (Nick) Fagnan Deeb; great grandchildren, Kelly Maier, Nolan Teske, Easton Wendt, Lincoln Wendt, Avery LaMar, Maisy Wendt, Alanna Malluege, and Ethan Fagnan.
Violet retired after 20 years from Andersen Windows. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Violet also played the piano and organ and was a member of the kitchen band the “Pan Handlers” playing a kazoo. She loved crocheting, cross stitching and has an award winning doily at the St. Croix County Fair. Violet had gorgeous handwriting and did calligraphy signs for various people.
Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Saturday February 23, 2013 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Somerset, WI. Visitation two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial held at St. Anne’s Catholic Cemetery following service. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
