Valeria “Trudy” Stacken-Hinz

Valeria “Trudy” Stacken-Hinz, age 95, passed away on January 16, 2021 at the St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond, Wisconsin. She was born August 22, 1925 to Matthew and Marie (Effertz) Pitzen in Almena, Wisconsin.

Trudy loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed the Koinonia Retreats, teaching CCD, Catholic Formation, and confirmation. Trudy also liked her bowling leagues, playing cards, dancing and her volunteer ministries at church, the hospital, and local nursing homes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Waylon Stacken; husband, Cyril Stacken; husband, Paul Hinz; siblings, Ervin Pitzen, Ed Pitzen, Rose Biller, Dorothy Ohnsorg, Julie Pepin, Eugene Pitzen, Paul Pitzen, and Donald Pitzen.

She is survived by husband, Henry Huber; sons, Bill (Connie), John, Gary (Kelsi), Jeff (Terri), Joe (Cheryl); ten grandchildren; six great grandchildren; extended Hinz and Huber family; and countless family and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2PM on Friday January 22, 2021 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Richmond. Visitation for two hours prior to Mass at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the St. Croix Health Center Activity Department, Alzheimer’s Association, or Dementia Society of America.
