Traci Jo Sabby passed peacefully, surrounded by family the evening of December 6, 2025 after a long, brave battle with metastatic breast cancer. Despite the challenges her illness provided in recent years, Traci displayed incredible courage and unwavering hope through her journey and was an inspiration to everyone in her life.
Born on December 11th in River Falls, Wisconsin, Traci was the daughter of Ken and Audrey (Larson) Sabby. She was a bright light in her family and was a force from the day she was born. She was the middle child in the Sabby family, and her siblings like to joke it is a role she was very good at.
Traci grew up in River Falls, Wisconsin and graduated from River Falls Senior High School. She had a wide circle of friends and loved to laugh. Whether cheerleading, basketball, swing choir or other groups she belonged to, Traci always seemed to have a natural talent for everything.
After high school Traci had many adventures and loved to travel. Traci’s greatest life adventure was when her daughter Miranda was born. She took great pride being known as ‘Miranda’s Mama’ and being a mom was a job Traci cherished. It’s difficult to find a photo of Traci that doesn’t include Miranda. One of Traci’s bravest adventures included driving her Dad’s race car for Northern Vintage Racers. She was the first female to race in the club.
Traci spent her recent years working for Willis Towers Watson doing a job she loved with co workers who have been an amazing support through her illness. Traci enjoyed working from home, especially since it meant spending more time with her three legged cat Kathy. She lived in Bloomington, Minnesota until she received the news she was being promoted to Grandma. Traci almost immediately sped off to live in Colorado to be close to Miranda and her ‘promotion’ allowed her to dote on her new BFF Isla Jo. Isla affectionately called Traci ‘Guppy’ and it was her favorite title and role in life. Traci felt incredibly lucky to be a ‘Guppy’ for a second time when her second BFF Indi Mae was born this year. No matter how Traci felt through treatments, she felt profound joy and life in every moment she could spend snuggling with her girls.
Traci found deep happiness in being together with family and her life was defined by the people she loved. Her nieces held very special places in her heart. She loved spending time at the cabin, perfected the skill of crocheting, and loved gardening and watching movies. Throughout Traci’s life she embodied kindness, compassion and incredible loyalty to those she loved.
Traci’s sparkle and beautiful smile will be forever missed by her Father Ken, her sister Terri and brother-in-law Dave, her brother Chris and sister-in-law Jenny along with her nieces Katlyn, Alexis and Carissa. She will be forever missed by her daughter Miranda, son-in-law John and her two little BFF’s Isla Jo and Indi Mae. She will also be missed by her 3 grand puppies and 3 legged cat, Kathy. Traci’s deep love for family, unforgettable devotion, strength, love and courage will live on with all who loved her.
We know that Traci was met by many angels when she arrived, and leading the angel pack was her mom Audrey who proceeded her in death in 2024. She is now in the best company with Audrey (Mom), Grandma and Grandpa Sabby (Helma and Fred) Grandma and Grandpa Larson (Helen and Oliver), Aunt Karen (LeRoy) Larson, cousin Danny (Eugene and Carol) Larson and Aunt Marilyn (Sabby) Harshman, and Aunt Marge (Sabby) Riter.
Our hearts are broken we won’t have one last Christmas with her, and hope you will join us at her Celebration of Life to share a picture, story or hug. Traci had always hoped her Celebration of Life would include bright colors. In honor of her wish, please wear a bright color to reflect Traci’s vibrant personality.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Arvada, CO on Saturday, December 20, 2025 from 10:00am to 1:00pm at Morningside Manor, 13251 W. 64th Avenue, Arvada, Colorado, 80004.
A second Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, January 11, 2025 in her home town of River Falls, Wisconsin from 2:00pm to 5:00pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services 805 E Division Street, River Falls, Wisconsin 54022.

Traci was one of the best managers I’ve ever had. I will miss her laugh, her smile and how she said my name in her midwest accent.
I am blessed for having been in her presence and forever thankful for her joy, laughter, kindness and love. My thoughts, prayers and condolences are with her family and friends.
so sorry for your loss. I was a neighbor of Marge and Tom Riter, and a friend to them and Marilyn.
