Tom “Bommer” Boumeester age 72 of Star Prairie Township died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Saturday August 9, 2014. Tom was born on July 12, 1942 in East Liverpool, Ohio to William & Florence (Erlitz) Boumeester. His family moved to Hudson Wisconsin when he was three. He attended St Patrick’s grade school and Hudson High School till the middle of his junior year when he quit to work for Gordy Larsen in his service station. He married Toya Armstrong in 1961 and they had four children. Tom went to St. Paul Vocational School and graduated as a machinist. He worked for Gould Battery for 21 years. In 1974 he married Bette and together they had three daughters. In 1980 he started his own machine shop, Mid-State Development, and in 2002 they moved to County Road H near Cedar Lake where they built their dream home. He retired in 2006 because of his health. Tom enjoyed riding horses, hunting, target shooting, camping, making “tasty treats “at the shack, “futsin” in the shop, teasing everybody, and traveling to Mexico and Arizona. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Bette; children, Todd Boumeester, Troy (Felma) Boumeester, Toni Boumeester, Teri Boumeester, Michelle (Wayne) Kuhn, Stephanie (Eric Taylor) Boumeester, Allison (Dustin Carrico) Boumeester; brothers, Bill (Jeanne) Boumeester, Jeff (Marcia) Boumeester; grandchildren, Cassi, Samantha, Shelby, Onalee, Brittany, Chelsea, Jacob, Jerick, Matthew, Tonia, Temira, Charisma, Sebastian, Hailey, Hunter, his little buddy Anthony, Mackenna, Ian; great grandchildren, Kadence, Blakli, and Jase. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Thursday August 14, 2014 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Somerset, Wisconsin. Visitation Wednesday 4-7 PM and also one hour prior to the service all at the CHURCH. Interment St. Anne’s Cemetery.
