Timothy Charles Sullivan, age 49, of New Richmond, WI, passed away April 21, 2015 after a short but courageous fight with cancer, surrounded by his family and friends. Tim was loved for his intelligence, wit, and compassion. He was born on July 26, 1965, in New Richmond to parents Timothy John Sullivan and Mary Margaret Scott Sullivan and is preceded in death by his mother. Tim is survived by his father, Timothy John Sullivan; children, Christian Sullivan and Brianna Sullivan; siblings, Patricia Ellen (Amere) Watkins of Minneapolis, MN, Colleen Mary (Kurt) Rasmussen of Cottage Grove, MN, John Raymond Sullivan of St. Croix Falls, WI, and Bridget Esther (John) Edwards of New Richmond; aunts, Esther Wentz of New Richmond, Rosemary Springer of New Richmond, and Beverly Scott of Shorewood, WI; uncle, Norman Sullivan of Harrison, AR; and loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tim graduated from St. Mary’s in New Richmond in 1979 and New Richmond High School in 1983. Always an avid reader, he burned through books by the dozens, and never seemed to run out of interesting topics to explore, especially history and warfare. Tim also enjoyed camping, weaponry, hunting, comics, and the Renaissance Fest. Tim was very proud of his Irish heritage and was frequently the first one out of the truck at the St. Pat’s Day parade each year. Tim finally saw for himself the castles he had read about over the years in 2008 when the family took a trip to Ireland to visit the ancestral homes. Tim was also very proud to follow in dad’s footsteps, and this year completed his 30th year in production at Andersen Corporation. Tim had so much to be proud of in his life, but nothing made him happier or more proud than his children. He cherished the memories he made with them. He surrounded Christian and Brianna with people who helped them build the foundation for their adult lives. He instilled in them the values that his parents instilled in him – family, knowledge, service and faith. Tim’s family would like to thank the staff at Westfields Hospital, Clinic & Cancer Center, and the NR Area Ambulance Service. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH in New Richmond, WI. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, April 24, 2015 at the CULLEN CREA FUNERAL HOME in New Richmond, WI and also one hour prior to the service at church. Interment in the church cemetery.
