Shirley Mary Leverty died peacefully at Regions Hospital surrounded by her loving family on May 16, 2015. Shirley was born on May 11, 1929 to Elmer and Mable (Ward) Earley in New Richmond, Wisconsin. She graduated from New Richmond High School, worked at the New Richmond Clinic and spent the majority of her career bartending and waitressing at Ben’s Bar in Somerset, Wisconsin. She enjoyed time with her family and friends, golf, cribbage, reading and spending the winters with her husband Howard in Mesa, Arizona. Shirley loved God, her large extended family and was very proud of her Irish heritage. She always had a positive attitude and loved adventures. Shirley loved to have fun and was quick to play pranks on her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Mable Earley; husband, Howard; daughter, Erin Marie; sisters, Ruth (Chris) McCabe, Helen (Martin) Germain and Lucile; brothers, Patrick, Miles (Donna) and Kevin (Rose). Shirley is survived by her children, Shannon (Tom) Plourde, Pat (Marianne) Leverty, Coleen (Jim) Moulton; grandchildren, Sally Plourde, Michael (Hailley) Leverty, Molly (Jake) Howells, Justin (Erika) Moulton, Jennifer (Cal) Nitka, Jordan (Joan) Moulton; great granddaughter, Tobi Grace Plourde; and sister, Margaret (Dwight) Anderson. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at ST. ANNE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Somerset, Wisconsin. Visitation will be held an hour and a half prior to service at the CHURCH. Interment at St. Anne’s Cemetery.
