Robert Campbell 01/25/2026

Robert Howard “Bob” Campbell was born on March 30, 1958, in New Richmond, Wisconsin, and passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Bob was a man whose life was shaped by his love of sports and his passion for teaching the game to others. From an early age, athletics were a constant source of joy for him—especially football and baseball. In high school, Bob, affectionately called “Soup” by those that knew and loved him, was well known for keeping meticulous football statistics, a reflection of his deep respect for the game and its details.
Baseball, in particular, became a lifelong calling. Bob devoted many years to coaching youth baseball, generously sharing his knowledge, patience, and love of the sport with thousands of young players over the years. To him, coaching was about more than wins and losses—it was about fundamentals, effort, and helping kids grow both on and off the field.
Bob will be remembered not only for his dedication to sports and coaching, but also for his sense of humor, quick wit, and the way he could bring levity to any situation. His steady presence on the sidelines and his genuine care for the kids he coached left a lasting impression that will continue to be felt for years to come.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, William and Laurlyn (Peach) Campbell. He is survived by his sisters, Billie Jean Gast, and Michele (Tyler) Lebens, as well as 10 nieces and nephews, who will remember him with love and gratitude.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date, with time and date to be announced. Cremation provided by Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

Bob was a classmate from Kindergarten, St. Annes school and high school. Always wondered how life turned out for this gentle guy. So sad to hear he has passed.
