Rebecca Ault

Becka passed away at home after a nine month courageous battle with Kidney cancer on Sept. 24, with her two adoring daughters at her side and other loving family members nearby. She is preceded in death by her grandparents; her mother, Shirley Joanne Seifert; and two brothers, John and Patrick Seifert. Also preceding her in death is her dear friend and first cousin, MaryJane Narog and many other aunts, uncles, and cousins. She passed into so many awaiting arms. She never gave up hope and her faith grew with each new day. On October 3, 1959, Rebecca Jeanette Seifert was born in Hastings, Minn. to John and Shirley Seifert. She was given the gift of hard work on the farm she lived for all her childhood. She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School before graduating from Prescott Senior High School, class of 1977. A short time later she voluntarily enlisted in the United States Army and honorably discharged after four years. A small private memorial service will be held later at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. She married her first husband on Dec. 23, 1978, with whom she later had two daughters with. They later divorced and returned home to Wis. Just a couple of years later she remarried her now soul mate on Jan. 28, 1989, and spent the rest of her life loving him. She sadly retired from Washington County Government Center in the Tax Payer Services division. She leaves behind in great sadness her two young daughters, Cassandra A. Alford (her loving partner, William Sean) and Melissa A. Remington (her loving partner Don Frazier). Six grandchildren, Brendan, Alexander, Olivia, Gracee Rae, and “the bears” Ashton and Austin. Her father John (Rachel) Seifert. Her sister and three brothers, Brigette Miller, Sean Seifert (Becky), Daniel Seifert (Lisa), and Anthony (Corina) Seifert; as well as many nieces and nephews. She will also be sadly missed by a dear family friend whom she loved like her own daughter, Jayne Monique Buckley. Throughout her lifetime she was loved and adored by countless other family members, co-workers, and friends, and two furry companions, “Pink” and “Bandit”. A memorial service was held in her honor at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hudson, Wis., on Sept. 28. A benefit in her name will be at The American Legion in Stillwater, Minn., on Oct. 6, from 3-7 p.m. to help support many various unpaid bills that incurred during her illness. “Always remembered and never forgotten.”
