Raymond McLean Mealey age 84 died on March 31, 2012 at the St. Croix Health Center. he was born on July 21, 1927 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Raymond Mealey Sr. and Margaret (Paul) Mealey. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Evelyn Mealey; sister, June Nelson and his son in law, Marshall Hepner. On November 23, 1946 he was married to LaVerne Parent at St. Anne’s Church in Somerset, Wisconsin. After proudly serving his country in the Army Air Force, he worked at Andersen Windows for several years and later retired as a ADOA Counselor from the St. Croix Health Center. Raymond is survived by his wife, LaVerne of 65 years, sons, Dan (Char), Scott (Deb), Brian (Liz); daughters, Bonnie Hepner, Brenda (Jerry) Forrest; brother, Jerome (Lucille); sister, Gloria (Norm) Fougner, also 11 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Wednesday April 4, 2012 at ST. ANNE’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Somerset, Wisconsin. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment St. Anne’s Cemetery. Ray’s pallbearers were his grandsons, Matt Mealey, Chris Mealey, Marshall Hepner Jr., Luke Forrest, Tim Trautmiller, Del Deatherage & granddaughter, Tracy Phernetton. Honorary pallbearers, Steve Casey, Roger Olson, Barney Krattley, Kirk Hexum, Dave Klecewski, Daryl Moe, John Koonce. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Military honors provided by the Somerset American Legion, Post 111.
