Pat and I were friends for 45 years, first meeting at Dayton Hudson Corporation where we were both internal auditors. She was a woman of many accomplishments. She could sheet rock, do basic plumbing, sew beautifully and was a one time violinist. She loved physical activity and raced in cross country skiing, running, cycling and canoe racing. She also sailed and rode her own Fat Boy Harley. She loved animals and hers were all rescues. She is survived by her cat Tuffy too.
Pat was a great friend and often a confident of mine. She also was a witness to my wedding many years ago,
Her last years were physically hard but she was always upbeat when we chatted by phone (I now live in Arizona) or when I saw her in person, joking about her total hair loss from an allergic reaction to an anesthetic.
Pat was kind, generous and sometimes bossy and imperious. I shall miss her.
Pat and I worked together for a few years in the early 2000’s. She was a ready and gracious host for the few times I had the joy of staying at her home. I only just learned of her passing, as we didn’t keep in touch much after our time of working. Memories of her are fond – her determination, great work ethic, kind and honest.
Pat and I met back in the early 2000s. She was a very talented and independent woman who could hold her own in almost any situation. She told some of the greatest stories. I only recently learned of her passing and I wished I had kept up on our friendship over the years. My heart sank when I read the news. RIP Pat, you are missed
