Norman died on Friday November 14, 2014 at the Deerfield Assisted Living Center. He was born on October 5, 1915 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Joseph & Elizabeth (Beck) Swanda. Norm’s hobbies were golfing, gardening, bowling, cooking and making his Stormin Norman’s Ribs. Preceded in death by his wife, Ruth (Watzl) Swanda; son, Joe Swanda; brothers, Al, Raymond and Clarence Swanda; sisters, Helen Wilde, Gladys Scoggin. Survived by his children, Robert Swanda, Ronald Swanda, Cynthia Swanda, Janet (Mike) Swanda Tieden, Greg Swanda, Malcolm Swanda; grandchildren, Adam Swanda, Christine (Chris) Tieden Rose, Nick Tieden; great grandchildren, Dane Swanda, Ashton Rose, Makayla Rose. Mass of Christian Burial 1:00 PM Wednesday November 19, 2014 at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the CHURCH. Interment parish cemetery.
