Nancy Eileen Hagen

Born in Duluth, MN, July 5, 1934 and died in Hammond, WI on June 24, 2025. Preceded in death by parents, Arne and Frances Hietala, brothers James and Robert, and husband Al Hagen.

Survived by children, Debra, James (Denise), Mark (Cindy) and Susan (Bruce).

Grandchildren: Melissa, Jennifer (Brent), Anne, Keith, Matthew (Lydia), Eryn (Robert), Michael, Neil (Katie), Kristin, Andrew (Shannon), Galina (Josh), Max (Makayla), and Eugene.

Great grand-children: Ronen, Brychan, Avery, Easton, Raegan, Emmett, Adyson, Elliot, Katia, Edison, Mason, and Hudson.

Nancy graduated from Duluth Central HS. She attended the U of MN for Chemical Dependency Counseling. She worked for Roseville Schools Middle School as a Health Aide and later as a Chemical Dependency Specialist.

While married, Nancy and her children moved as Al’s work demanded. During those years they lived in Duluth MN, El Paso TX, Mesilla Park NM, Murphy City MN, Silver Bay MN, Albany OR, La Crescenta CA, Sioux City IA, Delran NJ, Roseville MN, Star Prairie WI and finally moved to live with Sue & Bruce in Hammond WI.

Nancy would like to be remembered for her love of her children and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren and the spouses who have joined her family as well. Also her special friends Georgia, Eileen, Jean, and Donna (deceased). Truly God has blessed me with the gift of each of you.

A memorial service for Nancy is being held on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 11AM at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 S Knowles Ave) in New Richmond, Wisconsin with visitation starting at 10AM.  Interment will be at a later date in Willow River Cemetery in Hudson, Wisconsin.  Nancy’s service will be live streamed using the link below.  Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
