Morris Marsolek 03/12/2025

Morris D. Marsolek, 89 years old, passed on at Kinnic Health and Rehab, River Falls WI on March 12, 2025. Morris was born in Cream, Wisconsin on December 3, 1935 to Esther and Thomas Marsolek.  He married Judith Anne Marchand 60 years ago in St. Eulalia Catholic Church, Maywood, Ill. Morris and Judy have been blessed with five children. Anne Marchand, Kathleen Marie (Eivind Stenersen), Marjorie Leigh (David Fifield), Joanna Esther and Michael David (Amy Dahl). Morris was very proud of attending Anchorage, a one room elementary school, then Cochrane High school.  He earned his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education and Science at University of Wisconsin River Falls. Morris worked in agricultural minerals as a sales representative and supervisor of sales administration. He did research work towards the end of his career which he especially enjoyed. Morris joined the United States Marines after College.  He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus. He served as Grand knight and spent many hours working on the Tootsie Roll campaign at both the State and local levels. As a retiree, Morris did years of volunteer work for several organizations, Habitat for Humanity, Our Neighbors Place, the backpack project and others. Morris sponsored several Central American children through Unbound. Morris is survived by Judith, his wife; Anne, Kathleen (Eivind) and Michael (Amy), his children; Hanna (Mahmoud) and Claire (David), his grandchildren; Dahlia, his great granddaughter; Ruth Holty, sister; Donald (Marie) Marsolek, brother. Morris was predeceased by daughters, Marjorie and Joanna; brother, Roger; and parents, Esther and Thomas.

A memorial mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 11:00AM at St. Bridget Catholic Church (211 E Division St.) in River Falls, Wisconsin with visitation beginning at 10:00AM.   Interment is in St. Bridget Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Habitat For Humanity or Unbound.
