Mary Ann Schorn, age 92, of River Falls passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born on November 26, 1932, in Pierce County, the daughter of Matthew and Regina Kraemer.
She married Clyde Schorn, Jr., on November 13, 1950. They lived originally in St. Paul, Minnesota, moved to River Falls and Prescott, Wisconsin.
Mary Ann worked at H.D. Hudson manufacturing plant in Hastings, Minnesota for 40 years and retired at the age of 66.
Mary Ann loved the hobby farm she shared with her husband, Junior, growing vegetables, tending many beautiful flower beds, gladiolas being one of her favorites and heading up north to the cabin in Minong. Mary Ann was also very skilled at embroidery and often gave her beautiful needlework away to family and friends. She had a special touch with houseplants that filled her home, and she always had a soft spot for cats.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters, Virginia (Scott) Erickson and Cindy Schorn; granddaughters, Rebecca (Brad) Chileen, and, Amanda (Neil) Mason; and 4 great-grandchildren.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Schorn, Jr.; her parents, Matthew and Regina Kraemer; and brothers and sisters.
A Celebration of Mary Ann’s Life will be held on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 2-4:30 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services 805 E Division Street River Falls, WI. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
