Marjory Johnson 9/8/2025

Marjory Inez Johnson age 99 of New Richmond, WI, died Monday, September 8, 2025, at St. Croix Health Center in New Richmond.

She was born at home in New Richmond on September 5, 1926, a daughter of Otto and Inez (Green) Briese. She attended school at New Richmond High School. Following school she married Gayhart Larson, together they made their home in the Town of Alden in Polk County where they started their family and had four children. They later divorced and Marjory then married Perry Johnson in 1963. Marjory was a factory worker and held many different jobs throughout her life including, UFE’s in Dresser and the Sewing Factory in St. Croix Falls. She enjoyed gardening vegetables and flowers, embroidery, trips to the casino, puzzles, being active in her church and spending time visiting with people, she loved company. Some might describe her as spicey, funny, loving, caring and compassionate. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Osceola Wisconsin.

She is preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, siblings, Amanda (Walter) Studman, Florance (George) Juth, Harry (Millie) Briese, Robert (Betty) Briese; sons-in-law, Roland Running, William O’Keefe, Rick Nagy and grandson Troy Running. She is survived by her children, Marlys Running, Marlene O’Keefe, Marlowe (Stephen) O’Keefe, Marlin Larson; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held on Friday, September 19, 2025, at 5:00 PM at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church of Osceola Wisconsin 252 WIS-35, Osceola, WI. Visitation was also held on Friday from 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM at the church. Interment was in Oak Grove Cemetery in East Farmington. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
