Mabel Johnson

Mabel Josephine Johnson age 99 of New Richmond, Wisconsin died peacefully on Sunday March 20, 2011 at Deerfield Gables Care Center in New Richmond, Wisconsin. Mabel was born on November 4, 1911 in Chetek, Wisconsin to William M. and Laura C. (nee Birkholz) Birkholz. She was married to Glenn A. Johnson on August 14, 1935. Mabel loved her rose garden and its variety of color. She was also a homemaker and co owner of Johnson Cleaners with her husband Glenn. Mabel was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband; daughters, Catherine “Kitty” Wind, Janice M. Johnson. Survived by her children, William J. Johnson, Judy E. (Johnson) LaGrander, Nancy G. (Johnson) Schultz, Mary L. (Johnson) Jensen; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 5:00 p.m. Thursday March 31, 2011 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Richmond. Visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. She will be laid to rest in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
