Linda Mae Aanonson, 73, died November 21, 2024 at Christian Community Home Osceola, WI.
She was born December 29, 1950 to Evelyn (Berg) and Norman Aanonson in Frederic, WI. She lived most of her life in New Richmond, WI where she was employed at the St. Croix County Health Center as a CNA. She spent all of her working life caring for others. She had a soft, calm nature and loved her job. Linda was blessed with several lifelong friends from her years there.
Linda was preceded in death by her sister Judy (Dragger) Wall, her parents and her step-father Norman Berg who she credited with raising her; as well as her nephew, Jeremiah Wall. She is survived by her brother Roy L. Dove, and nephews John Dove and family and Scott Dove, Vernoa, WI, and Michael (Erica) Wall, Sebastopol, CA. She leaves behind several nieces and nephews and many who consider her a very dear friend.
Linda had a profound love for reading and would often read 3 different books at the same time from the vast library she accumulated over the years. She also loved poems and filled many notebooks with her favorites. Music was a must every day as she sang and danced to a variety of genres. She outwardly embraced her inner child and found great delight in movies, characters, and collectibles of Disney (especially Winnie the Pooh, Mickey & Minnie), Snoopy and the Peanuts gang.
She was a kind soul who found joy in the simple things in life and was shy but welcoming to everyone, always lending a positive word and unbroken ear. Pen pals from around the globe expanded her world. She saw immense beauty in nature while watching birds, small animals, flowers, and especially being near the ocean, collecting shells wherever she went.
A celebration of life was held on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. beginning with a tribute, sharing of memories, and food & beverages following at Bakken Young Funeral Home, 728 WIS-65, New Richmond, WI 54017.
