Leroy Roger Boerger, age 95, passed away on December 21, 2020 surrounded by his loving family at The Deerfield in New Richmond, Wisconsin. He was born on January 3, 1925 to Francis and Albert Boerger in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Roger was in the U. S. Navy during WWII, serving two tours of duty. He was a teacher at Edina High School for 25 years, then worked in the mortgage department at First Bank for 8 years before retiring. Roger loved the outdoors, camping, boating, and golfing. He and wife, Mary Lou, were very social, they spent 22 plus years enjoying retirement in Bella Vista, Arkansas. Roger and Mary loved the community there and were members of St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Albert Boerger; and beloved wife, Mary Lou Boerger. Roger is survived by his sons, Mark Roger Boerger (Minneapolis, MN), and Bradley William Boerger (San Diego, CA); nieces, Sheri Thomas, Lana Kraemer and Mary Maw.
