Ken earned his undergraduate and masters degrees from Stout University in Menomonie, WI where he met the love of his life, Loretta. He proudly served in the US Army reserves for 8 years and spent his career shaping lives in many ways: as a school teacher, a guidance counselor, corporate sales trainer, area manager for Successful Living, and most profoundly as an Associate Pastor at Holden Chapel, Holden MA, and Elder at Calvary Chapel in New Richmond. Ken’s calling was clear – to serve people and shine the light and love of Jesus wherever he went.
Ken loved people and people in return loved him. He treasured his family and friends from everywhere and he thoroughly enjoyed their times together in Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and Florida. Although Ken’s race has finished he has left an impact of faith, encouragement and prayer, in the lives he touched.
Family and friends gathered at Calvary Chapel 258 N 3rd St. New Richmond Friday July 25, 2025 to celebrate Ken’s life. Visitation 12PM to 1PM with a 1PM service to follow. Interment followed at Oak Grove Cemetery 263 WI-35 Osceola. Military honors will be performed by VFW Post #10818 of New Richmond. A meal will be served by his church family back at Calvary Chapel. To family and MANY friends,
Ken, and Loretta were highly respected shareholders at Donovan’s Park Cooperative, Inc in Clearwater, Florida. It is so sad and disappointing to lose Ken, but it can certainly be said, “He lived the good life”.
R.I.P. Ken, YOU EARNED IT!!!
Ron & Judy Steeves, Unit 407, DPCI
So sorry for your loss. We really enjoyed our time together at Donovan’s. Blessings
From your many friends in Holden, MA. And Successful Living. Bob and I cherish our friendship with the Wittig family and that wonderful laugh and smile. You (and Loretta) made life better in all of the places where you were “planted.”
My sincere condolences to you and your family. May he rest in peace and know that the GE family has you in our thoughts.
To Loretta and family, I am deeply saddened to hear of your great loss. While I know Ken lived a long meaningful life, I know we are never truly ready to say goodbye to those we love and cherish so deeply. I am so sorry for your loss and pray you are able to find peace while you grieve Ken. He was so very kind and caring towards me and I will always cherish that. Love Rachel.
To Loretta and family,
I am so thankful to have had Ken come in to my life. I remember that day Loretta when you said my husband can need somebody to help him in his warehouse. I thought it was a big warehouse, but it was down in the cellar in the holy hole. From there, he became a trusted friend, mentor, and spiritual father. He has meant so much to me showing me what it’s like to be a husband a father somebody who serves the Lord it is meant many things in my life too many to mention. Annie and I pray for you Loretta because it has got to be a hard thing to let him go even though you know where he is and very soon you’ll see him again. I love you guys.
I will forever treasure my mentor and friend, Ken Wittig. His wisdom and compassion were so valuable. And I so enjoyed being able to do life with Ken. Ken and Loretta’s friendship means so so much to me. Ken, I rejoice with you as you are in heaven with our Lord Jesus but will miss you here with us.
Terry and I will greatly miss Ken. He has richly shaped my life from my early 20’s at Holden Chapel through the young adult’s group and being my best man and friend! He always thought of others, looked for ways to help, and empowered them to grow deeper with the Lord and as a person. He was a man of integrity. I look forward to seeing him again in heaven, and some day Loretta as well.
Ken was always smiling, welcoming, and gracious. He always had something uplifting to say during a time when I was mainly just trying to get through another day. It meant a lot. I will miss him! My thoughts and prayers are with you, Loretta!
This Great Man, opened the doors for me to see the light of Christ, A very Great Man!! Now he’s with the King. Love you always
So sorry for your loss, Loretta. We so enjoyed him at Chetek.
