Kathleen Ann Klinkhamer King was the second oldest of seven children. She was born in St. Paul, MN on January 7th, 1944. Kathleen was baptized in the Cathedral of St. Paul, located in St. Paul, MN.
Kathy was preceded in death by her father, George Joseph Klinkhamer, Sr., mother, Margaret Mary Klinkhamer; brother, Michael Klinkhamer; grandchildren, Preston Anderson, Lael Gabriel, and Micah Gabriel Aguirre.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Burt King; as well as five siblings. Beginning with the oldest, Dennis Klinkhamer along with his wife, Joyce, George Klinkhamer, Jr. and his wife, Tammy, Mary Jamieson and her husband, Bill, Steven Klinkhamer, and the youngest, Ann Datko with her husband, Dave.
Presently Kathy’s immediate family includes five children, Christine Cline, Michael King and his significant other, Angela Potting, Michelle and her husband, Francis Aguirre.
Kathy’s grandkids totals eight. They include Justin King, Shannon Cline, who is engaged to Ian Kislenger, Nicole King and her husband, Lucas Wilberg, William, Claire, Nicholas, Patrick, and Evan Aguirre. And let us not forget Avery and Archie Cline, two great-grandchildren.
She attended a Catholic grade school but later graduated from Harding High School. Kathy embraced a multitude of professions during her working life…. assembly, meat processing and administrative to name a few. But the profession she most cherished was being a mother, a wife, and a homemaker. Indeed, Kathy was a consummate homemaker.
A Service to Commemorate the Life of Kathleen Ann Klinkhamer will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at 5 pm at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (728 S Knowles Avenue) New Richmond, WI. Visitation will also be on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, from 3-5 pm at the funeral home. Following the service a light meal will be served. Private interment will be in Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be directed to your favorite charity or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Burt and family, please accept my condolences for your loss. She has left her family and friends much too soon and will be missed. She has had a long journey, but it is now in a better place and at peace, may she RIP.
