Joseph “Joey” Feisthauer, age 21, of River Falls died Sunday, February 9, 2020 at his home. He was born December 3, 1998 in Appleton, WI and adopted by Fred and Christina (Figi) Feisthauer in 2012. Joey attended River Falls High School, graduated from St. Croix Central High School and participated in school choir, band, theater and forensics. He worked a couple of summers at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and was recently employed at Phillips Medisize. Joey was becoming a mature, independent working adult. He is remembered as a very bright, intellectual and curious person. He was a fiercely loyal friend with a great sense of humor and a person people wanted to be around. Joey enjoyed traveling, music and concerts, as well as video games, paintball and airsoft. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Maria Figi and aunt, Carmen Figi. Joey is survived by his parents, Fred and Christina Feisthauer; brother, William Feisthauer; grandfather, Russell Figi; grandparents, Francoise and Gerard Feisthauer; aunts and uncles, Eduardo Figi, Carlos (Dena) Figi, Antonio Figi, Todd Wick, Anne (Olivier) Vidal; cousins, Trina (Josh) Boles, Jake (Nina) Figi, Amanda (Justin) Hanson, Adam (Tessa) Figi, Chloe Vidal, Brice Vidal, Ana (Jeffrey) Maguire, Alexander Figi, and Ryan Figi. A funeral service was held Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm with visitation beginning at 12:00 noon at Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services (805 E Division St.) in River Falls. Private family interment will be at a later date. In honoring Joey’s life and memory, memorials may be directed to Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge (mntc.org) or Wisconsin Adoption (wiadopt.org). Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

    Joey was the brightest light in my life, now I don’t know what to do without him. He will be sorely missed by so many people. I am so sorry for your loss Feisthauer family.

    joey was my best friend… he introduced me to everyone who i consider important in my life… he will be truly missed…

    On gardera de Joey son sourire en bâtissant des châteaux de sable à St George de Didonne…. Chloé, William et lui bras dessus bras dessous…… jouant à la maison avec son château fort……on le pensais mature et sûr de lui……. pas tant que ça finalement……

    Toutes nos condoléances pour ces moments douloureux.
    On gardera en souvenirs ces moments dans notre piscine où les garçons s’étaient bien amusés.
