It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of JoAnne Marie Rohr, who left us on April 26, 2025, at the age of 87. JoAnne was born on September 24, 1937, in Rochester, MN. She lived a life filled with adventure, humor, and a fierce spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her loving daughter Melissa Furch (Randy), and her sons Michael, Mark, and Douglas Tipler (Joleen). And many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
JoAnne was preceded in death by: parents, Leon Doole (Father) Anne Baker (Mother), Charles Rohr (Husband), and Sue Tipler (daughter in law)
JoAnne will be remembered for her warmth, her hearty laughter, and her refusal to take life too seriously. She had a knack for making everyone around her feel valued and loved. JoAnne’s family was her pride and joy, and she cherished each moment spent with them.
JoAnne made her mark in many ways throughout her life. She had many careers, Dental Assistant, Home maker, C.N.A, and finally had the opportunity to travel with her husband as they were a team driving a semi and enjoying the open road.
A graveside service was held at Saint Bridget Catholic Cemetery in River Falls on May 3, 2025, at 1:30 PM to honor her life and legacy. Before the graveside service, friends and family gathered at St. Bridget Catholic Church for a public viewing at 10:00 AM, followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM. A reception took place at the church starting at noon, providing an opportunity to share memories and celebrate JoAnne’s amazing journey. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.
