Joanne Audrey Seibel

Joanne Audrey Seibel (nee Peterson) age 79 of New Richmond died March 9, 2011. Born August 2, 1931, in St. Paul, MN to Harold and Marie Peterson. Joanne graduated from Johnson High School class of 1949, prior to attending St. Catherine’s College. In 1950 she married the love of her life, Robert A. Seibel. Together they raised five children while residing in Somerset, WI. Joanne was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, doing crossword puzzles and shopping. Joanne resided at the Deerfield Senior Living Community in New Richmond, WI since 2003, where she has fought a courageous and determined battle with emphysema. Joanne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; infant son, Scott; infant great-grandson, Jack Ulrich; parents, Harold & Marie Peterson; sisters, Deloris Green Mitchell and Donna Best. Joanne is survived by her 5 children, Nancy (Steve) Ulrich, Vicki (Sheldon) Betzold, Joni (Rick) Derrick, John (Tammy) Seibel, and Bob (Linda) Seibel; 15 grandchildren, Jake (Stacy), Justin (Missy) and Josh (Laura) Ulrich, Jessica (Luke) Appert, Derek (Allison) Salzman, Brendan (Kassie) Salzman, Brady Salzman, Dr. Allison Derrick (Dr. Tom Leece), Becki and Jeff Derrick, Melissa (Shay Tilander), Audrey and Conner Seibel, Austin and Carley Seibel, Kelsey (Howie) Monteith, Britney (Steve) Hammerschmidt, Thad Betzold and Alek Keller-Betzold; 4 step-grandchildren; 9 soon-to-be 10, great-grandchildren, Tyler, Rachel and Lauren Ulrich, Ava, Ana and Faith Ulrich, Reece Ulrich, Luca and Vivian Salzman; also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday 11:00 AM at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, 139 Church Hill Road, Somerset, WI. Visitation 9:30AM until time of service. Interment parish cemetery.
