Jeffrey (Jeff) Elery Miller, age 71, passed away peacefully at home on December 19, 2025, surrounded by family.
Jeff was born in Hudson, Wisconsin on August 7, 1954, to Edward and Janice (Solum) Miller. Jeff grew up with his younger brother Chris, throughout the western part of Wisconsin, moving every couple of years. He graduated high school in Menomonie, Wisconsin in 1972. He met Barbara Anderson of River Falls, Wisconsin in 1976 and they married on October 1, 1982. They lived in River Falls, Wisconsin where they had their son, Matthew Miller, in April of 1989. Jeff worked as a laborer at 3M in Cottage Grove, Minnesota for 42 years, eventually retiring in 2012. In 2014 Jeff welcomed his first grandson, Hunter Miller, into his life followed the marriage of his son to Brittany Iehl in 2015 and then welcoming his second grandson, Ryder Miller, in 2016. His grandsons brought him so much joy and excitement in the last 11 years. He was looking forward to teaching them new things every year.
Jeff’s hobbies included hunting, fishing, downhill skiing, golf, ATVing, snowmobiling, and teaching his grandchildren new skills. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Janice; and his brother, Chris. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; his son, Matthew (Brittany); grandsons, Hunter and Ryder; his uncle, Jerry (Debbie) Miller; sister-in-law, Jean Miller; and many other family members. The family would like to thank Adoray Hospice for the exceptional and compassionate care they provided for Jeff.
A Celebration of Life will be held on January 10, 2025 at 2PM at St. Croix Lanes in River Falls, Wisconsin.
