Jean A. Lange, age 60, of New Richmond, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her beloved daughters on October 1 after a long, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Jean, born to Henry and Clarice (Rivard) Lange on February 20, 1956 in Stillwater, MN. She was raised in Somerset, WI along with her nine siblings: Lyle (Hong) Lange, Linda (Bruce) Johnson, Mark (Julie) Lange, Marsha Anderson, Joe (Suzie) Lange, Tracy (John Opitz) Lange, Trudy Lange, Dan Burke, and Diane (Kirk Fredrickson) Martin. She was a 1974 graduate of Somerset High School, and a 1979 graduate of St. Mary’s University as a Registered Nurse.
She worked for many years at Holy Family Hospital, then for many years in production at Andersen Windows, where she continued her education and became an Occupational Health Nurse; ending her career as a case manager/OHN for Corvel Corporation. Jean is survived by her three children: Glenn (Jayme) Owen, Jr, Mindy Owen, and Jessica Goodpaster; along with her four beautiful grandchildren: Mackenzie Peterson, Carter Owen, Sawyer and Alexander Owen. Jean enjoyed volunteering for church activities, local benefits and fundraisers, including Alfalfa Fest. She was also a proud member of the American Legion Butler-Harmon Post 80, as her father served in the US Navy. She deeply believed in giving back, and helping in any way she could. She also greatly enjoyed live music, traveling, and the outdoors. Services will be held Saturday, October 8 at Immaculate Conception Church; visitation at 12:00, services at 1:00. A Celebration of Life will follow services at the New Richmond American Legion Butler-Harmon Post 80. Memorials preferred to the family.
