Janis Lynn McGee, 54, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on June 23, 2016 at Comforts of Home in Hudson, Wisconsin, after a four year relentless and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Janis was born February 24, 1962 and graduated from New Richmond High School in 1980. Janis dedicated her life as a certified nursing assistant taking care of people. Janis was the most selfless and caring person you could have known.

She had a deep understanding for people’s concerns and was very passionate about caring for people of all ages. She was devoted to her work and was loving, caring, a great listener and very supportive. She was an angel for many people who did not have family. Janis will be missed by so many. She is survived by her mother, Mary (Gove) McGee; her sisters, Jeanette (Jim) Dalton, JoAnn (Jason) Langer, Jennifer (Mike) Bearden, Joyce (Michael) Potvin. Nieces and nephews, Mikayla Dalton, Aaron Dalton, Jessica McNamara and Tyler Merrill, Eric Langer, Gabby Langer, Derek Field, Ashley Field and Chet Dixon (Devin & Ben), Jeff and Lacey Gleason, Kim Gleason (Logan & Milow), Kristen Gleason. Step-nieces and nephews, Cheyann, Chandra and Chayla Bearden and Shane Potvin. She was preceded in death by her father, William (Bill) McGee Jr; her grandparents, William and Lillian (Olson) McGee, Clarence (Kelly) and Bernice (Rundhammer) Gove.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Thursday June 30, 2016 at the Cullen Crea Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest next to her father at Wagon Landing Cemetery, Alden Township following the visitation.
