James Cody

Jim Cody Age 84 of New Richmond, Wi. died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday November 26, 2011. Jim was born on June 27, 1927 to John and Marie (Trow) Cody in Stanton Township, Wi. Jim was President of the New Richmond High School Class of 1945. He was a Treasurer for Stanton Township and served as a commissioner with the Upper Willow River Rehabilitation District. He was a member of the St. Croix County Land and Water Conservation Committee and served on the Board of Directors at the 1st National Community Bank. He was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus and a Trustee for St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Stanton until its closing. Jim was a life long dairy farmer, community servant and a faithful friend. We will all miss his humor, wisdom and positive attitude. He is survived by his loving wife Arliss (Cress) of 59 years; children, David (Clara) Cody, Mary (Brian) Anderson, Jeannie George; brothers, Francis Cody, Charles Cody; grandsons, Erik Anderson, Andrew McCormick, Christian Cody, Brett Anderson; also many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday November 29, 2011 at the IMMACULATE CONCEPTION CATHOLIC CHURCH in New Richmond. Visitation 4-8 PM Monday November 28, 2011 at the CULLEN CREA FUNERAL HOME, and also one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment St. Bridget’s Cemetery.
