Harold Theodore Hancock, age 93, of New Richmond died April 17th at Sunrise of Edina. He was born the son of Theodore and Grace (Minchk) Hancock on March 23, 1932 in Remington, WI. Harold served in the Navy during the Korean War, taking an 8-month tour near the end of the war. He married Dorothy Braem on June 13, 1953 in Wisconsin Rapids. Together, they spent much time enjoying time with family at their house on Stone Lake. They traveled to Arizona during winters, and to France, England, and California. Harold was an avid golfer, getting a hole-in-one in one of the many tournaments he played. He was a devout member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in New Richmond, WI, serving as an elder for many years. He is remembered as a cherished father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his sisters, Janice Nigh, Chairel Babby, and Betty Marceau; children Susan (Olivier) Haise, Daniel (Deborah) Hancock; grandchildren Zoe Haise, Sydney Hancock, Skylar Hancock, Melissa (Dylan) Stichert, Joshua Hancock; as well as great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Harold was preceded in his death by his wife, Dorothy Hancock; children Donald, David, Gary, Kathleen, and Greg; siblings, and parents . A funeral will be held at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in New Richmond on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 3 pm. Visitation will also be on Friday from 2-3 pm at the church. Harold will be buried in Wisconsin Rapids at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are with Bakken-Young Funeral & Cremation Services.

    Sympathies to immediate family and friends He appeared to me as a good man. He loved his family and served his country .well
