Gust “David” Brown

Gust “David” Brown died peacefully on July 24, 2012. Dave was born on December 12, 1934, to Gust and Lillian (Kress) Brown in Somerset, Wi. He grew up in Somerset, attended Somerset Country School, and with his parents and siblings, worked the family farm. He was married to Bonnie Brown on Dec. 18. 1982. They lived in Somerset, Osceola and retired in Fort Myers, Fl. David worked for many years and retired from Andersen Windows. He enjoyed fishing, camping, gardening and watching the Packers. David had a contagious smile and will be missed by many. Preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie; Parents Gust and Lillian (Kress) Brown, siblings, Gilbert (Arlene) Brown, Elsie (Clarence) Miller, Baya (Reynold) Wert, Ray, Earl, Milton, and Floyd Brown; granddaughter Tanna Jo Lyons. He is survived by his children; Debra (Tom) Bell, Vickie Lyons, Cindy (James) Reason, Todd Brown, Shawn (Alana) Brown; step daughter Lisa (Greg) Richert, 19 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren; siblings, Russell Brown, Ethyl Lyksett, sisters in-law- Darlene Brown, Joann Brown and Eleanore Brown; and the mothers of his children, Helen Ruttkey and Linda Brown. Funeral Service 1 PM Friday July 27, 2012 at CHRIST LUTHERAN CHURCH in Somerset, Wi. with a visitation being held one hour prior to the service. The family would like to thank everyone at The Deerfield for the wonderful care they provided to David. Memorials to The Deerfield Building Fund. Interment St. Anne’s Cemetery Somerset, Wisconsin.
